WILLIAM McCULLOUGH - ESTATE RECORDS & DISPOSITION OF PROPERTY:

Estate of William McCullough - Administrator's Bond to Andrew McCullough

   The State of Iowa  To all to whom these presents shall come greeting;  Knwo ye that whereas William McCullough late of the County of Van Buren & State of Iowa, died intestate as it is said on or about the 25th day of April AD 1850, having at the time of his decease personal property in this State, which may be lost, destroyed or diminished in value if speedy care be not taken of the same.  To the end thereof that said property may be collected and preserved for those who may appear to have a legal right or interest therein.  We do hereby appoint Andrew McCullough of the County of Van Buren & State of Iowa, Adminstrator of all and singular the goods, chattels, rights & credits which were of the said William McCullough at the time of his decease with full power and authority to secure and collect said property and debts wheresoever the same mey be found in this State, and in general to do & perform all acts which now are or hereafter may be required of hilm by law.  Witness Joseph Foster Judge of Probate in and for the said County of Van Buren at his office in Keosauqua this 2nd day of July AD 1850.  Joseph Foster Judge of Probate

  The State of Iowa  To all to whom it may concern greeting:  Know ye that whereas William McCollough, Lavina McCollough, Washington McCollough and Amanda McCollough are represented to be minors without guardian or legal representative.  This is therefore In the name of the State of Iowa to appoint and we do hereby appoint Aaron Park, of the County and State aforesaid Guardian for William McCollough, Lavina McCollough, Washington McCollough and Amanda McCollough minor heirs of William McCollough Decd with full power and authority to do and perform any and all business pertaining to his duty as such Guardian of said minor heirs and in accordance with the law of this State.

   Before me Thos O Eskredge Clerk of the County Court in and for said county, personally appeared the within Washington L McCullough and Amanda M McCullough his wife, known to be the identical persons who signed within, and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the within conveyance to be their voluntary act and deed for the purpose therein contained.  And the said Amanda M. being by me made acquainted with the contents of said deed acknowledged on an examination seperate and apart from her husband that she executed the same and reliquished her dower in the real estate therein mentioned freely and without compulsion or undue influence of her said husband.  In testimony where I Thos O Eskredge Clerk of the County Court in and for the County aforesaid have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said Court done at office in Shelbyville this 16 day of March AD 1861.  THos O Eskridge  clk
